STATESBORO — Georgia Southern University recently recognized approximately 2,900 students for excellence in academics on the Spring 2018 Dean’s List. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
Local area students who have been named to the list for excellence in academics include Lauren Berry of Ellaville, Clay Copland of Montezuma, Mitchel Goodin of Americus, Morgan Hanson of Americus, Dillon Hernandez of Americus, Kaleigh Hernandez of Americus, Ashton Howell of Ellaville, Lawson Humphries of Plains, Nehemiah Johnson of Preston, William Shattles of Americus, Jake Smith of Smithville, and Brandon Thomaston of Ellaville.
