NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana is where students go to discover their excellence, and Na’Charlesia Floyd is an example of that. In just her first year of undergraduate school, Floyd dual majored in biology and biomedical engineering and maintained a 4.0 GPA. Because of her academic success, Floyd received the Superior Academic Achievement Award, the UNCF Nissan Scholarship, and was inducted into the National Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. She was also invited to the National Society of Leadership and Success and was offered a paid research internship at Alabama A&M in Huntsville, Ala.
Xavier University of Louisiana is America’s only historically black and Catholic university. Xavier was ranked the nation’s number two historically black college and university by College Consensus, chosen among the four colleges selected by Beyonce and her BeyGood Foundation as the recipient of a Homecoming Scholars Scholarship Award.
