AMERICUS — According to the Georgia State Patrol Post 10, Americus, at approximately 7 p.m. Monday, a three-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 280 and Felder Street in Americus.
The at-fault driver fled the scene, and later abandoned the vehicle and continued on foot. The driver is described as an unidentified Hispanic male wearing all blue clothing and a blue hat. One driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the third vehicle only had a complaint of a minor injury.
The accident remains under investigation.
