KINGSPORT, Tenn. — Mrs. Isabelle Richardson Collins passed away peacefully on Aug. 24, 2018, in Kingsport, Tenn. Mrs. Collins was the daughter of William J. and Mary Elizabeth Richardson of Greenville, S.C. Mrs. Collins attended the public schools of Greenville, graduating in the 1939 class of Greenville High. She was a graduate of Campbell University, Buies Creek, N.C., and spent two years at the School of Music at Southern Baptist Seminary, Louisville, Ky.

Mrs. Collins was active in the organizations of the churches where her husband served as minister, especially in music and working with the youth. Churches served included First Baptist Church of Donalsonville, Ga., First Baptist Church of Newport, Tenn., First Baptist Church of Americus, Ga., and Beecher Hills Baptist Church of Atlanta, Ga.

Mrs. Collins was an avid golfer, once shooting a 73 at the age of 78. More important than any golf scores were the personal relationships she cherished in the places she lived.

Mrs. Collins was preceded by her husband Dr. Harold A. Collins, who died in 2001. She is survived by a son, Dr. Andy Collins and daughter­in-law, Marlene, of Kingsport, Tenn., and also by grandson Christopher and granddaughter Kimberly, and her husband Joel, and great­granddaughters Lily Kate, Grace Isabelle, and Avery Anderson.

A private family service was held at Patton-Simmons Cemetery in Johnson City, Tenn.

In lieu of flowers, Isabelle requested that any remembrance or memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Americus, Ga.
