AMERICUS — Ms. Georgia Elizabeth Harper, 95, passed away Thursday morning, Sept. 13, 2018, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at Aldridge Funeral Services. The Rev. Buck Kinney will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the service begins.

Ms. Georgia Harper was born on Aug. 6, 1923, in Weston, Ga., to the late Samuel Oscar Brightwell and Vera Nichols Brightwell. She was a loving mother, homemaker and a member of Plains Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Kaye Morris of Plains, Faye Long (Richard) of Plains, her sons; James Harper (Karen) of Americus, George William “Billy” Harper (Jeanne) Plains, Robert Louis “Bob” Harper of Plains; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband George A. Harper, her sisters; Ruby Meadows, Sophie Reese, Lois Pinkston, brothers; Roy Brightwell and Harvey Brightwell, Louie Brightwell.
