AMERICUS
Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church
The first Lay Day Worship Services is at 3 p.m. Sept. 30 featuring the local lay president of Antioch A.M.E. Church, Alfreda Young Brooks, as speaker. She is first vice president of the Sixth Episcopal District.

United Holiness Church
The Grand Fellowship Assembly continues to be celebrated at 6 p.m. Sept. 8, and 11 a.m. Sept. 9. Everyone is invited.

Butterflies Ministry Inc.
Everyone is invited to participate in a free weekly word clinic journey through the Bible from 7-8 p.m. Tuesdays.

Antioch Missionary Baptist Church
The 140th church anniversary service is Sept. 16 with the 11 a.m. worship service message by Pastor Ricky Cladd. At the 2:30 p.m. service, Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Albany and its pastor, the Rev. Daniel Simmons are in charge. The public is invited. Dinner will be served.

Perry B. Grove Baptist Church
Revival services start at 7 p.m. Sept. 11-13 with Pastor Carl Munns Jr. as speaker.
Homecoming is observed at 4 p.m. Sept. 15 with Pastor Coley Clark as speaker. Dinner will be served.

Mountain Creek A.M.E. Church
The annual Fall Revival is celebrated at 7 p.m. Sept. 11-13. The Rev. Dr. John Williams, pastor of Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church, is guest evangelist for the week.
A Camp Meeting Service is at 11 a.m. Sept. 16 when pastor, the Rev. Gerald Harris, delivers the message.

Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church
Family and Friends Day is observed at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 23 with the theme, “Family and Friends: Working Together for Christ.” All are welcome.
Everyone is invited in celebrating the Vivian Bryant Angel Choir’s 26th anniversary at 2 p.m. Oct. 15 with worship, song, and dance. All special guests are invited to render an A and B selection.

Kingdom of Heaven Ministries Inc.
A “Pastoral Thrust” revival is mat 7 p.m. Sept. 12-14 with speakers, Pastor Luke Adams, Pastor Decarlo Marcus, and Elder Lashonda Mike, consecutively.

New Corinth Baptist Church
The ushers’ anniversary is observed at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 16 during the worship service. All area churches and the public are invited.

The 123rd church anniversary is celebrated at 7 p.m. Sept. 19-21 and 10 a.m. Sept. 23, with the program as follows: Sept. 19, Pastor Larry B. Sims Sr. and Union Tabernacle Baptist Church & Choir; Sept. 20, Pastor Rod Hubbard and Greater Cedar Springs Baptist Church & Choir; Sept. 21, Calendar Tea (wear your church t-shirt) with Minister Gwen Harris presiding.
The anniversary celebration culminates Sept. 23 when the pastor, Bishop Melvin McCluster, brings the message. Colors are blue and gold. Dinner follows in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is invited.
