A recent training class, on drownproofing firefighters, was held by Americus Fire & Emergency Services, on Drownproofing the Firefighter. Personnel attended a class, then proceeded to a guided practical application at the Deriso Pool on the Georgia Southwestern State University campus. Each participant trained on self-rescue, in the event of being trapped in water, in full gear.
