GSW basketball and softball players visit Southland Academy

AMERICUS – On Friday, September 21, members of the Georgia Southwestern State University men’s basketball and softball teams visited Southland Academy. Elementary School students were extremely excited to have the student-athletes from GSW on campus.
The teams visited the classrooms and interacted with the kids by answering questions and giving high fives. The highlight of the morning was having the college student-athletes sit on the floor with the students to spend time reading and talking to them.
The GSW basketball and softball players were very personal and were lots of fun for the young Southland students.
Southland Academy is very appreciative for the time the GSW student-athletes dedicated to connecting with the youth of our community and wishes the Hurricanes and Lady Hurricanes successful basketball and softball seasons.
