AMERICUS — To the residents who live in the vicinity of Georgia Southwestern State University, the SurgeFest Music Festival will take place Thursday on the GSW soccer fields. This free event is open to the public and is part of the Presidential Investiture Week. The bands will start approximately around 9 p.m. and end at 11 p.m. The road by the soccer and softball fields will be blocked off. Please spread the word to your neighbors who live near campus.
