AMERICUS — Another year, supporting a greater need. Ayden Battle made headlines in 2017, when he donated proceeds he earned from his lemonade stand, Ayden J’s Juice, to local breast cancer patients and their families. He delivered a $600 check to the Phoebe Sumter Oncology Clinic, and received a proclamation from the Mayor, local Congressman, and adulation from people near and far.
The 7-year-old entrepreneur is at it again, and this time his goal is to sell even more lemonade, raise even more funds, and touch many lives during this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness month. Ayden is asking not only for the purchase of his famous lemonade, but also for your visitation to his lemonade stand, and your sponsorship. Monetary donations will also be accepted for cost, category sponsorship is available, and proceeds will go to the local Phoebe Sumter Oncology Center, which lends financial and medical support to hundreds of cancer patients in Americus and Sumter County. Unfortunately, that number is increasing, so these donations will help many in need.
Ayden will be at his stand, which is located at Mercer’s Barber Shop, 221 N. Lee St. from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6.
He will also be manning his stand on Oct. 13 at Lenny’s Market, downtown for the Phoebe Sumter Breast Cancer Awareness Walk; again from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 27 at Mercer’s Barbershop; and will present the donation on Oct. 29 to the Phoebe-Sumter Oncology Center.
