AMERICUS
Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church
Everyone is invited in celebrating the Vivian Bryant Angel Choir’s 27th anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 21 with worship, song, and dance. All special guests are invited to render an A and B selection.

Salem United Methodist Church
The church celebrates 182 years of praise and worship at the same location, 942 Upper River Road, on Oct. 7. Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m. followed by the worship service at 11 a.m. The Rev. Mark Kinservick, current pastor of County Line Methodist Church, brings the message. He is a former member of Salem.
Lunch will be served in the fellowship hall immediately after the service. Everyone is invited.

Piney Grove No. 3 Baptist Church
A Men/Women Celebration, “Christian Men/Women Going with Jesus All the Way,” is at 11 a.m. Oct. 14 guest speaker, the Rev. Ferlin Tyson and Minister Belinda Cutts Tyson of Mount Able Baptist Church. Everyone is invited.

New St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church
The annual Men and Women’s Day program is at 11 a.m. Oct. 7 with church pastor, Michael Walker, bringing the message. Colors are black and white, and everyone is invited.

Antioch Missionary Baptist Church
The annual Ushers’ Anniversary observance is at 11 a.m. Oct. 21 during the worship service. Deacon J. C. Bryant from Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church, Plains, speaks on the duties of an usher. The sermon will be delivered by Pastor Ricky Cladd.
The public is invited to a special prayer breakfast at 9 a.m. Oct. 27 with the theme, “Transformation – Preparing your Mind, Body and Soul.” Speaker is Evangelist Patricia Pace.

Big Bethel Missionary Baptist Church
The church celebrates its 135th anniversary Oct. 10-14. At 7 p.m. Oct. 10, the Rev. Ricky Cladd and Antioch Baptist Church, Americus and Jerusalem Grove Baptist Church, Smithville are in charge of the service; at 7 p.m. Oct. 11, the Rev. Dr. H. C. Wilson and Mount Olive Baptist Church, Americus; at 5 p.m. Oct. 13 beginning is the “Evening of Royalty,” with Tracy Famborough of William Grove Baptist Church, Ellaville, as mistress of ceremony, for an evening of fun, fashion and excitement. The celebration culminates at 11 a.m. Oct. 14 with the Rev. Dr. Robert Morgan and McAfee Grove Baptist Church, Lee County in charge. Sunday colors are white with a royal purple scarf for women and a black suit and royal purple tie or bow tie with white shirt for men. Dinner will be served. Everyone is welcome.

Life Point Church
The free family Trunk or Treat begins at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 31. Includes jumping castle, hay ride, puppet show, candy, free hotdogs and popcorn, giveaways, games, face painting, and more. Recommended ages birth to fifth grade.

Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church
Family and Friends Day is celebrated at 11 a.m. Oct. 28 with Pastor Elijah Shafah of St. Paul A.M.E., Troy, Alabama, as guest speaker. Dress down/fall colors is the attire for the occasion. The public is invited.

Zion Hope Baptist Church
The 142nd church anniversary is celebrated Oct. 9-11 with speakers as follow: the Rev. Roderick Hubbard, Tuesday; the Rev. Larry Sims, Wednesday; and the Rev. Hosie Waters Thursday.

Perry B. Grove Baptist Church
An Appreciation Fellowship service is at 3 p.m. Oct. 20 with Pastor Willie Oates of Bible Alive of Preston as speaker.

New Mount Mariah Baptist Church
Everyone is invited to the choir anniversary at 2 p.m. Oct. 14.

Daniel Grove Missionary Baptist
The 73rd church anniversary celebration is at 2 p.m. Oct. 21. Pastor Jesse Watts of Old Shady Grove Baptist Church is speaker. Dinner will be served. All are welcome.

The celebration of the 14th church anniversary culminates at 10 a.m. Oct. 7.

PLAINS
Greater Cedar Spring Missionary Baptist Church
The 110th church anniversary is celebrated during the 11 a.m. worship service Oct. 7. The Rev. Rod Hubbard brings the message. The public is invited.
The annual usher get together is at 11 a.m. Oct. 21 with the Rev. Rod Hubbard as speaker. Sunday school is at 10 a.m.

Lebanon Baptist Church
Family, Friends and Breast Cancer Day is observed Oct. 28 with Sunday school at 10 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m.
The 96th Ushers’ Anniversary is celebrated at 11 a.m. Nov. 25.

Rylander Church
A Gospel Sing is from 6-7 p.m. Oct. 6 featuring the Ross Family of Montezuma.

Bethlehem Baptist Church
“Pack the Pews Pink,” in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is held at 10:45 a.m. Oct. 21 with Veronica Terry Arline as featured speaker. Everyone is encouraged to wear pink to celebrate the survivors and remember those who fought. Pastor O. Quintodd Bryant delivers the message.

SMITHVILLE
New Hope A.M.E. Church
The 164th church anniversary is celebrated at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 7. The Rev. Jermaine Harris and Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church are in charge of the service. A memorial service for Drunell Williams Young will be held, and dinner will be served.
