City of Americus administrative offices will close at noon Wednesday and will remain closed until 8 a.m. Friday.

The county-wide curfew beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday and continuing until 9 a.m. Thursday applies to citizens and business owners.

Although the administrative offices will be closed, the city’s main line, (229) 924-4411, will still be open and someone will be available to take calls and messages.

As a reminder; be sure to secure all outdoor furniture, trash containers, and anything that could be blown away by the anticipated winds. And make sure all pets and farm animals are secure.
