With some 3,000 customers of Sumter Electric Membership Corp. (SEMC) in Sumter County out of power, it could take days to get all restored.

A company official told the Times-Recorder that crews from here and elsewhere are involved in the restoration efforts, and that their preliminary estimate is that it could take a few days to restore power to all who have been affected by the storm.
