Lady Raiders lose on the road at Windsor Academy

MACON, GA – The Lady Knights of Windsor Academy (3-0) outscored the Southland Lady Raiders 21-14 in the third quarter to take control of the game and win by the score of 52-38 on Friday, November 30, at Windsor Academy.

The Lady Raiders had three players in double figures. Holly McCain posted a double-double for the Lady Raiders. She scored 12 points and hauled down 11 rebounds. Sydney Payne scored 10 points and dished out three assists on the night. Macy Williams chipped in six points and grabbed seven rebounds in the losing cause. Haleigh Warren scored four points. Reese Roland, Maddie Crisp and Katie Rogers each had two points to round out the Lady Raiders’ scoring.

The Lady Raiders had a tough time stopping the Lady Knights’ duo of Bray Daniels and Noraiya Shinholster. Both players were in double-figures for WA. Daniels led the Lady Knights with 18 points. Nine of those points came off of three-pointers. Shinholster scored 17 points and had four steals on the night.

With the loss, SA falls to 3-1 on the season. They will try to get back in the win column when they host Southwest Georgia Academy on Tuesday, December 4. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
