AMERICUS
First United Methodist Church
The Open Hand Community Christmas Dinner is to be served at noon on Dec. 25, Christmas Day in the church Fellowship Hall, 200 S. Lee St. Carry-outs available if food remains after all have been served. Shut-Ins may call 924-7072, 928-2526 or 229-417-1952.

Kingdom of Heaven Ministries Inc.
The 2019 Watch Night Service, featuring Pastor Courtney Moore, begins at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 31. Breakfast will be served immediately after the service.

Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church
The birth of Jesus will be celebrated at Christmas Day Worship Services at 10 a.m. Dec. 25. Everyone is invited.

Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church
The Eastern District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church holds its Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration at 3 p.m. Jan. 2o with the Rev. Earnest Gordon of St. Paul A.M.E. Church as speaker. The youth group is in charge of the service. Minister Trenton Floyd of Old Antioch Baptist Church brings the occasion, and Union Tabernacle Baptist Church Youth Choir provides the music. Refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome.

Friendship Missionary Baptist Church
The annual Watch Night Service begins at 9 p.m. Dec. 31. The Rev. Colby McKenzie and Bishop Melvin McCluster bring the message. Each generation present will be recognized Builders: those born between 1910-1945, Boomers: between 1946-1964, Busters: between 1965-1980, Bridgers: between 1981-1996, and Baby Dreamers: born in 1997-the present. Breakfast follows in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is invited.

Salem United Methodist Church
The Mark Trammell Quartet is in concert at Salem United Methodist Church at 6 p.m. Dec. 29. Mark Trammell has been voted the Singing News Fan Favorite Baritone Singer nine times including the last four years. The MTQ was voted into the final five quartets in the Fan Favorite Traditional Quartet category this year. Also, Mark Trammell, a Baptist minister who has been traveling, preaching and singing the gospel for over 40 years, was inducted into the Southern Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in October 2018. Free and open to the public.

Faith Baptist Church
Lonesome Road Bluegrass is in concert at 2 p.m. Dec. 30. Free and open to the public.

ELLAVILLE
William Grove Baptist Church
The worship service time has changed to 9 a.m. Dec. 23, to be followed by a Christmas program.
A Watch Night Service starts at 10 p.m. Dec. 31. The public is invited.

LESLIE
Freedom Harvest Worship Center
A Fruit of the Spirit service is at 3 p.m. Dec. 30 with a youth community choir, and Minister Emmanuel Robinson, Alicia Wright, Shanekia Williams, Kelleigh Mercer, Jasmine King, Deangela Tullis, Quinton Sim, Whitney Kimbrough, and T’Keyah Swain as speakers. Everyone is invited.

New Shady Grove Baptist Church
The County Line, New Corinth, New Jerusalem, New Mount Mariah, New Shady Grove, and Oak Grover Baptist churches hold a joint Watch Night Service beginning at 10 p.m. Dec. 31.

PLAINS
Lebanon Baptist Church
On Dec. 23, the worship service will be at 9 a.m. with the Rev. Hosie Waters.
