The Staffing People to host series of speakers in 2019

AMERICUS — The Staffing People, a staffing agency located in Americus and Albany, is looking to make an impact in Southwest Georgia in 2019. They have partnered with Darla Harms, a local leadership coach, speaker, and trainer, to bring more leadership and employee development to the area.
International Bible speaker and teacher, Shane Willard, will be at Providence Church from 10 a.m.-noon on Jan. 19 to speak on “Leading from the Heart.”
International leadership speakers and trainers, Mack and Ria Story, out of Atlanta, will be here on April 5 to speak about Mack’s book, “Blue Collar Leadership,” and what it takes to lead a blue-collar work force. On Oct. 11, the Storys will host a simulcast with world-renowned leadership expert, John Maxwell. They also plan on hosting a leadership camp for high school students sometime over the summer.
Harms will continue offering leadership training to local organizations as well.
The Staffing People wants to not only equip and empower their clients and employees but equip and empower local leaders as well. “If Southwest Georgia gets better, we all get better,” says Mike Yerby, owner of The Staffing People for the past 18 years. “Our vision is to strengthen as many people as possible with leadership and employee development.”
Harms will offer soft skill and employability classes in the upcoming months to help better equip our work force. She has a master’s degree in leadership education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, is a John Maxwell Certified coach, speaker, and trainer, and a certified mindset coach with The Arbinger Institute of Salt Lake City, Utah.
