BUENA VISTA — Wesley Frank Weaver, age 77, of Buena Vista, died at his residence Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019. A native of Buena Vista, he was born July 20, 1941, the son of the late John Wesley and Dovie Stringfellow Weaver. Mr. Weaver was the owner of Oakcrest Lumber which was his passion in life. He was a member of River of Life Church in Phenix City, Ala.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Central Baptist Church, Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, with the Rev. Randy Comer officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers include foremen of Oakcrest Lumber, Cameron Elliott, David Pittman, Jimmy Touchberry, Clint McDaniel, Ken Hudson, Johnny Thomas, Michael Golden, Abraham Carillo, Zack Spangler, Joe Trice, and Tim Dean.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Barbara Weaver of Buena Vista; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Bob Saint of Leslie; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roland and Krisann Weaver of Americus, and Russell and Melanie Weaver of Americus; a sister, Florence Weaver of Buena Vista; six grandchildren, Michael Mathis, Megan Saint, Ryan Weaver, Brookland Weaver, Mathew Saint and Morgan Weaver; and one great-grandchild, Kagen Mathis. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Reagan Weaver.
