Jennifer and Eric English of Americus are the lucky winners of the 2019 Americus Times-Recorder Valentines’ Day Contest. They received a collection of great gifts from Americus House of Flowers, the Best Western Windsor Hotel, Rosemary & Thyme, Allie’s Boutique and More, Three’s Company Too, and The Maze ranging from a dozen roses, to a night’s hotel accomodations and dinner, clothing, accessories, and more. The Englishes met about nine years ago when Eric, a police officer, responded to Jennifer’s home where her mailbox had been damaged. They’ve been married for almost four years, and have three children. Eric is a detective with the Americus Police Department and Jennifer is director of Middle Flint Regional E-911. They were unsure about their plans for Valentines’ Day as of Tuesday afternoon.
