Phoebe Sumter ‘in the red” for Heart Month

Phoebe Sumter Medical Center is “in the red” in recognition of February as Heart Health Month.

It hosts its 3rd Annual Heart Walk & Run on Saturday, Feb. 16 at locations in seven counties which are joining together for a cause — to promote healthy hearts! Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women. Come out and support awareness.
The Phoebe Heart Walk will take place at the following locations simultaneously:
• Sumter County: Sumter County Regional Park, 741 U.S. Highway 19 South, Americus
• Schley County: Schley County Recreation Department Complex, 400 Gill St., Ellaville
• Dooly County: Dooly County Recreational Department Complex, 216 Ninth St., Vienna
•Macon County: Preston Williams Center, 700 Vienna Road, Montezuma
•Marion County: Marion County Courthouse Square, intersection of Ga. Highways 26 and 41, Buena Vista
• Stewart & Webster County: Webster County Courthouse, 6330 Hamilton St., Preston
Registration at each location is from 8:30-9:15 a.m. and the Walk/Run begins at 9:30 a.m.
A trophy will be presented to the organization with the most participants at each location.
