Meredith Reese Wilson of Americus announces the engagement of her daughter, Elizabeth Lauren Wilson of Auburn, Ala., to William Lorin Moyd of Auburn, Ala., son of Mr. and Mrs. James L. Moyd of Newnan.
The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Dr. Frank A. Wilson IV of Leslie, and the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Richard Pope Reese II of Americus, Adalyn Johnson Wilson of Leslie, and the late Dr. Frank A. Wilson III.
She is a 2008 graduate of Southland Academy, and studied business administration at Georgia Southwestern State University. She is vice president of fundraising for the Junior League of Lee County and a member of Auburn Young Professionals. She is a practice manager in Opelika, Ala.
The future groom is the grandson of Mary Evelyn Cochran of Newnan, the late Carolyn Elizabeth Clanton Moyd, the late William Reuben Moyd Sr., and the late William David Cochran Sr., all of Americus.
He is a 2004 graduate of Eufaula (Ala.) High School, and a 2009 graduate of Auburn University with a degree in business administration. He is a member of Auburn Young Professionals and of the Certified Purchasing Society. He is a buyer for Briggs & Stratton in Auburn, Ala.
The couple will be married in May 2019, in Americus.
