Sumter County Primary School celebrated Read Across America Week, an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on March 2, the birthday of beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss. Feb. 26 was wear green to go along with the book, Green Eggs and Ham. Students dressed in green, and the cafeteria staff served green eggs, ham, grits, and toast.
