JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. — Katie Hollaway Toms, 84, Erwin, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at Johnson City Medical Center.

Katie was born in Ellaville, Ga., to the late L. L. and Willie Mae Hollaway. She lived in Americus, Ga., for 75 years.

She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, Katie was preceded in death by: her husband of 60 years, George Paul Toms; one son, Paul Douglas Toms; and one grandson, Benjamin Paul Cook.

Survivors include: one daughter, Loretta Haselden and her husband Ronnie; grandchildren, William Masters, Paul “D.J.” Douglas Toms Jr., Tabitha Toms Johnson and Katie Michelle Jones; great-grandchildren, Will and Chet Toms, Lia and Addy Robinson, Arron and Chase Masters, and Attlie and Kaylee Johnson; and one sister-in-law, Martha Kate Toms Harris.
