AMERICUS — The following food service inspections were conducted recently by Sumter County Environmental Health.
• South Georgia Technical College Culinary Arts, 900 South Georgia Tech Parkway, Americus — 3-28-19 — score: 99
— Observed the establishment did not have sanitizing solution test strips. Person in charge is to have test strips on hand.
• Americus-Sumter Ninth Grade Academy, 915 N. Lee St., Americus — 3-27-19 — score: 99
— Observed the dumpster was not stored on a smooth, nonabsorbent, durable, and sloped enough to drain surface. Person in charge is to have a storage surface constructed for the dumpster to be stored on.
• Little Caesar’s. 1126 E. Lamar St., Americus — 3-27-19 — score: 95
— Observed ready-to-eat food items marked with the day of the week to be disposed. Person in charge is to mark items with the date that the food item is to be disposed.
— Observed establishment did not have the last inspection report posted. Person in charge is to have current inspection report posted for customer viewing.

• 8 Inn Motel, 1206 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Americus (accommodation inspection) — 3-26-19 — score: 96
— No ventilation fans in bathrooms in rooms 129, 117, 106, 110, 114, 146, 132.
— Wall and ceiling damage in guestrooms 129, 117, 106, 110, 114, 146, 121.
• La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant, 1602 E. Forsyth St., Americus — 3-26-18 — score: 84
— The person in charge could not provide signed copies of the Employee Reporting Agreement. Each food service employee is to sign a copy of the agreement. Signed copies are to be kept on hand at the establishment and made available during future inspections.
— Observed a Time/Temperature Control for Safety food (TCS, raw shrimp) being cold-held above 41 degrees F. Person in charge is to insure that TCS foods are cold-held at or below 41 degrees F.
— Observed plates under the prep line not stored upside down. Clean multi-use utensils shall be stored covered or inverted. Person in charge is to have plates stored covered or inverted.
