Sumter County Middle School’s Future Farmers of America and BrAdd Newinson Brock’s Ag classes have formed many important community partnerships. None more important than with the staff of Sumter Middle School’s cafeteria workers. Kathy Clum serves lunches with a smile every day at school and is a regular visitor to the Ag classroom. Seth Warwick comes at least weekly and brings green bean cans that now hold their tomato transplants. The Georgia Forestry Commission donated oaks, sweet maple, and crepe myrtle landscape trees. The students have transplanted these trees into 5-gallon ‘pickle buckets’ supplied by Clum, and the trees are doing well. Thank you, community partners!
