• Firefighters responded to 13 calls for medical assistance.
• Firefighters responded to a report of a possible structure fire in the cafeteria in the Marshall Student Center, Georgia Southwestern State University. They were advised by an employee that they had problems with a dishwasher earlier in the day. They ventilated the area of smoke.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm at Magnolia Manor, 2001 S. Lee St. It was accidentally generated due to a dirt smoke detector
• Firefighters responded to Rees Park Economic Development Center, 419 Elm Ave., to rescue someone trapped in the elevator.
• Firefighters responded to East Lamar Street to a passenger vehicle fire. Upon arrival, they found the radiator had built up pressure and over pressured. There was no fire.
