AMERICUS — Americus-Sumter High School (ASHS) teacher Tracy Wilson was recently selected as “Teacher of the Week” by Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW). GSW’s Teacher of the Week program recognizes area teachers and partners for outstanding contributions to the School of Education.
“Ms. Wilson is a valuable asset for us,” said Kimothy Hadley, principal of ASHS. “She not only teaches in the classroom, but also serves as chair of her department, leads professional learning sessions, and mentors new teachers who are getting started in their careers. She always goes above and beyond for her teacher candidates by providing multiple windows of opportunity for them to gain experience and knowledge.”
