AMERICUS

Hebron Baptist Church

The 125th anniversary of its founding is celebrated at a special service at 10:30 a.m. July 14. All family and friends are invited to attend and enjoy the service, special music, and meal afterward. Healing Temple Ministries

“Faithful and Determined” have their debut program at 5 p.m. June 30. Admission is free. Perry B. Grove Baptist Church

Beginning in July first Sunday services will be discontinued. Third Sunday services continue with Sunday school at 10 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m.

The church’s 90th anniversary is celebrated at 2 p.m. July 20 with Pastor Gregory Lindsey of The Dinner with Jesus Ministry as speaker.

 

Americus Pentecostal Church

Everyone is invited to the annual revival titled, “Escape for Your Life” at 7:30 p.m. July 10-12. Guest speaker is Evangelist Tommy L. Henderson Sr. of The Apostolic Church of the Living God in Lithonia.

 

New Corinth Baptist Church

The annual revival is at 7:30 p.m. July 15-18, culminating at 11:30 a.m. July 21. Dinner will be served.

St. Paul A.M.E. Church

The public is invited to celebrate the pastor’s 22nd anniversary at 2:30 p.m. July 14 with guest speaker, the Rev. Sherryl N. Sneed from Peter Chapel of Columbus. Dinner will be served.

BUENA VISTA

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church

Everyone is invited to the annual revival services at 7 p.m. July 30-Aug. 1 with Pastor Colby McKenzie as guest preacher. A different choir performs each night: Mount Olive on July 30, St. Mark’s on July 31, and Mount Zion on Aug. 1.

The public is also invited to celebrate the church and pastor anniversary at 11 a.m. Aug. 4 when Magnolia Bay’s pastor, officers, choir, ushers, and congregation take charge of the service.

New Corinth Baptist Church

William Grove Baptist Church

The Men’s Ministry celebrates Men’s Day during the 11 a.m. worship service. The Rev. Jerome Glover of Fort Valley brings the holy word. All men from the surrounding areas have a special invitation.

Homecoming and Home Mission Celebration is July 14 with Sunday school at 10 a.m. followed by worship at 11 a.m. The afternoon service begins at 2 p.m. with special guests, the Rev. Michael Edge and the William Grove Baptist Church family. Everyone is welcome.

St. Mark A.M.E. Church

The 149th Church Anniversary is celebrated at 11 a.m. July 28 during worship service with speaker, the Rev. Shirley Strawter. Everyone is invited to attend. Dinner will be served.
