• Firefighters responded to
three calls for medical assistance.
• Firefighters went to East
Furlow Street address to a report
of a malfunctioning smoke
detector and the occupants
needed a fire extinguisher. The
fire department doesn’t provide
fire extinguishers but they installed
two smoke detectors.
• Firefighters responded to
Hancock Drive to a report of a
gas odor. Upon investigation,
they detected a strong odor of
natural gas and contacted the
city gas department. The leak
was coming from an underground
line running between a
nearby carport structure.
• Firefighters returned as a
follow-up call, to a Willet Way
residence where they had dealt
with a carbon monoxide buildup
the day before. No hazards
were found.
