AMERICUS — The Sumter County Comprehensive High School class of 1992 held its 25th-year class reunion Oct. 28 at the Bison Valley Lodge in Americus.

With classmates plus guests in attendance at the formal banquet, alumni enjoyed reminiscing. All enjoyed dinner and an evening with entertainment from The Essence Band. A candle light memorial was held in memory of the six deceased classmates.

Love is a powerful word and that’s what the class of ‘92 have for each other. The class members are firm believers of Matthew 18:20 — “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the mist of them.” By keeping God in the midst, He has kept the class members’ bond and love strong for the past 25 years.

Here are a few comments from classmates gathered for the reunion.

Annise Mabry said. “I had so much fun last night … 25 years is a long time, but last night felt like 1992. I promise to never let 25 days — let alone 25 years go by without saying ‘thank you for the love!’ ”

Benae Ingram remarked, “Your class is so united and ya’ll genuinely love each other. I’ve never seen anything like it. What was the secret ingredient?”

Annette Green said, “What a wonderful night! It was so great seeing everyone but really missed my bro, Eugene Carter Jr. Love you SCCHS Class of ’92!”

Tangela Kel Deriso commented. “Really enjoyed my classmates last night! Everyone looked amazing! Can’t wait to see you all again.”

Katrina L. Kleckley-Fuller said, “When I tell you we had an amazing time! Class of ‘92 you guys rock.”

Walter Serrano said, “I had a wonderful time at our 25th Class Reunion; Class of ‘92 ya’ll rock.”

Melody Lewis congratulated Katrina L. Kleckley-Fuller for a job well done. “We enjoyed the reunion,” she said.
