The students in Mary Moncus’ class ay Sumter County Intermediate School enjoyed a fun first day back at school. Shown here are students, Destiny King and Destiny Harper, using an Ozobot to learn programming and coding concepts. The school plans to have lots of STEM going on in all classrooms this year. In education, the acronym STEM stands for the disciplines of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. STEM education is the learning of those subjects through an integrated approach that offers hands-on and relevant learning experiences.
