Circle, which was caused by a
malfunction.

to Pecan Terrace. The alarm
was false and they were cancelled
en route.
• Firefighters responded
to Mayo Street to a report of
a man down. Nothing was
found.
• Firefighters responded
to a traffic accident on West
Church Street but were cancelled
en route.
• Firefighters responded to
a traffic accident on Crawley
Street.
• Firefighters responded to a
traffic accident on East Furlow
Street.
• Firefighters responded to
a traffic accident on Magnolia
Street.
• Firefighters responded to
Mallon Drive to a report of
power lines down. They found
a large tree that had fallen
across the roadway, knocking
down multiple power lines.
Georgia Power arrived and
cut the power. Fire personnel
removed the tree was the
roadway.
• Firefighters responded an
alarm at the Sumter County
Courthouse, 500 W. Lamar
St. The Sumter County Fire &
Rescue chief was already on
scene and confirmed that no
hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded
to a report of a wire down
on Harris Street. Personnel
removed the obstruction from
the roadway.
