AMERICUS — Mr. Virgil (Tim) Crenshaw, age 57, of Americus, passed away Wednesday Sept. 4, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019, in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services. The Rev. Rodney Stamey, the Rev. James Burke and Gary Underwood will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before service time, from 10-11 a.m., on Saturday.

Mr. Crenshaw was born July 10, 1962, in Albany, Ga. He was the son of the late William Lathan Crenshaw and the late Martha Roberts Crenshaw. He was a master carpenter and a member of Cheek Memorial Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law Lathan and Taryn Crenshaw of Ellaville; a daughter and son-in-law Amanda and Jonathan Crabtree of Gilmer, Texas; and a stepdaughter Jennifer Drake; four sisters and brothers-in-law Judy Welch (Mikey) of Buena Vista, Donna Layfield (Tarron) of Smithville, Bonnie Blackston (Rick) of Americus, and Lisa Law of Smithville; two brothers and a sister-in-law Billy Crenshaw and Kenneth Crenshaw (Susan); nine grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews and his companion Diane Bartlett also survive.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Stacy Crenshaw and a brother William Daryle Crenshaw. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1599 Clifton Road, Atlanta GA 30329.
