AMERICUS

Union Oak Grove Baptist Church

The annual Ushers’ Fellowship Program is at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 27 with guest speaker, Deacon Eric Brown, son of the Late Deacon Isaiah Brown and Deaconess Bessie Brown of New St. Paul Baptist Church.

 

  Ladies Retreat

Cross Faith Ministries brings its first ladies retreat to Americus Oct. 19 at the KOA Hayes House at 1619 U.S. Highway 280. Check-in begins at 8:15 a.m. with the retreat kickoff at 9 a.m. and dismissal at 5 p.m. Join us for a day of anointed worship by Meredith Osterhaus (of Lexington, S.C.) and four powerfully packed sessions by Pastor Shannon (Woods) Contreras (formerly of Americus). Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church

The Eastern District Lay Organization sponsors a barbecue dinner sale from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 5 at the church. A donation of $8 will get you chopped barbecue, baked beans, cole slaw, bread, and

cake.

 

Salem United Methodist Church

Homecoming is celebrated at 11 a.m. Oct. 6. The Rev. McCray Dove, who is also lead singer of the Dove Brothers Quartet, brings the message. Lunch will be served following the worship service.

Dove also performs with the Dove Brothers Reunion Quartet at 6 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Barn (1574 Ga. Highway 49 North, Andersonville. Everyone is welcome.

 

 

Shipp Chapel Baptist Church

Fall revival services are at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10 & 11 with guest pastor, the Rev. Johnny Sanders of New Bethel Missionary Church. Everyone is welcome.

 

 

Antioch Missionary Baptist Church

The annual ushers’ anniversary is celebrated at 11 a.m. Oct. 20, during the worship service. Guest speaker is Sister Almarie Laster of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Albany. The public is invited. All ushers are asked to wear their church uniform.

 

 

 

Big Bethel Baptist Church

Everyone is invited to the 136th church anniversary celebration at 7 p.m. Oct. 9. New St. Paul Baptist Church and Pastor Michael Walker are in charge of the service along with the Old Corinth Baptist Church Choir.

On Oct. 13, the morning service is at 11 a.m. with Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church and its Pastor KeAnthony Brooks. And, at 2 p.m., the Rev. Dr. H. C. Wilson and Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church are in charge of the closing service.

 

New St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church

Everyone is invited to the annual Men and Women’s Day program during the 11 a.m. worship service Oct. 6. Pastor Georgia Deriso of Freedom Harvest Worship Center is guest speaker. Colors are red and black.

 

Breath of Life Ministries

A Pre-anniversary Celebration for Pastor Toney Smith, is at 7 p.m. Oct. 30-31 with Pastor Glenn Bryant and Pastor Carl Smith as speakers, consecutively.

The second annual Eastern District lay worship services is at 2 p.m. Oct. 13 with the message by president Elder, John Bass. Everyone is welcome.

Greater New Lebanon Baptist Church
