AMERICUS — The public is welcome and encouraged to attend the fourth annual Coffee with a Cop event from 8-10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16 at Café Campesino, 134 W. Lamar St., in downtown Americus.
The event, hosted by the Americus Police Department, Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, and the Georgia Southwestern State University Department of Public Safety, provides the opportunity for citizens to join their neighbors and police officers for coffee and conversation.
There is no agenda and no speeches, just the chance to ask questions, voice concerns, and to get acquainted with the officers in your neighborhood.
