Norman shoots a tournament-low score to win the GolfRank Invitational

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL – Georgia Southwestern State University men’s golfer Vincent Norman shot a tournament-low and record-tying 64 (-8) in Round 3 en route to winning the individual championship at the GolfRank Invitational. After two rounds of shooting 70, Norman ended the tournament with a 12-under 204 at the PGA National Champion course in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

The tournament took place Monday through Tuesday, October 7-8. As a team, the Hurricanes finished in third place with a total score of 868 (+4).

This victory for Norman marks his second tournament victory this season. He now leads GSW Golf with four individual championships in his career.

On Tuesday, October 8, GSW shot two rounds of par (288) for a third-place finish. Keiser University won the tournament, shooting an overall score of 860 (-17). The University of West Florida shot their way into second place with a total score of 866 (+2). Florida Tech and Lynn University took the fourth and fifth spots with scores of 880 and 886 respectively.

GSW’s Chase McLain shot rounds of 70 and 79 for a final score of 222 (+6) for a 14th place finish. Saksit Jairak ended the tournament tied for 17th place with rounds of 74 and 73, shooting a total score of 233 (+7). Simon Estrada finished tied for 20th place with rounds of 77 and 74 for a final card of 224 (+8), while Cole Madison shot rounds of 74 and 77. He sits tied for 41st place with a final score of 231 (+15).

GSW returns to the green Monday through Tuesday, October 14-15, as they will travel to Palm Harbor, FL to compete in the Copperhead Championship.
