Mr. William Chester Teal age 85 of Americus, passed away Thursday, November 07, 2019 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2019 from the graveside at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Dr. Bryan Myers will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday November 8^th from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Aldridge Funeral Services.

Mr. Teal was born September 2, 1934 in Milan, GA. He was the son of the late William Henry Teal and the late Berdie Mae Conley Teal. He worked for The Seaboard Coast Line Railroad and retired from CSX Railroad. He also was a Public Accountant for many years. Mr. Teal was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Charlie Mitchell Teal of Americus; a daughter and son-in-law Sherrie Hargrove (Ben) of Americus, two sons and a daughter-in-law Mark Teal of Americus and Chris Teal (Lisa) of Atlanta. A stepdaughter Janet Minshew (Roger) and her children Charles Minshew and Richard Minshew of Rochelle and a sister and brother-in-law Mary Hilliard (Pete). Five grandchildren Brook Peterson (Will), Blake Reeves (Mike), Blaze Hargrove, Jacob Teal and Jessica Teal. Three great grandchildren Jase Peterson, Drew Reeves and Ty Peterson and two nephews Joey Hilliard and Jamie Hilliard also survive.

In addition to his parents Mr. Teal was preceded in death by his first wife of 49 years Miriam Teal. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Baptist Church building fund 190 Upper River Road Americus, Ga. 31709 or to a charity of choice.
