The National Weather Service Atlanta’s Friday afternoon briefing states that  confidence and threat level has increased for severe weather in our area this Saturday.

Saturday afternoon into Saturday evening (approximately 6-10pm) there is an enhanced risk (3 out of 5) for widespread damaging winds (30-40 mph) possibly resulting in downed trees and limbs.  Possible tornado activity.  Heavy rainfall and possibility of flooding late Sunday and into Monday.

The storms are expected to weaken overnight Saturday but bring heavy rains and flooding Monday and into Wednesday.  The National Weather Service is uncertain of intensity at this time.
