With the win, the Lady Panthers stay undefeated at 16-0 on the season and are at the top of the Region 1-AAAA standings at 9-0.

ASHS was able to pull off the victory in the absence of high-scoring point guard Jelissa Reese. DeAsia Ford was able to chip in six points and Divine White had two to round out the ASHS scoring.

The Lady Raiders were able to make it somewhat competitive in the first quarter, as ASHS only led 16-8 at the quarter’s end. However, the Lady Panthers stepped up their game in the second quarter and outscored SHS 22-7 to take a 38-15 lead at the half.

Jones scored 14 of her 24 points in the first half.

However, the Lady Raiders got back into the game and outscored ASHS 19-8 in the third quarter. By the start of the final quarter, the Lady Panthers’ lead had been trimmed down to 12 at 46-34.

Fortunately for ASHS, they were able to maintain that double-digit lead in the fourth quarter and finished the game on top 61-48.
