Mrs. Mary Inez Collier, age 88, of Byromville, GA entered into rest Friday afternoon on January 24, 2020.

A funeral service was held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Byromville Baptist Church in Byromville, GA. Rev. Dennis Phillips and Rev. Charles Cobb officiated the service. The family received friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial followed in Cedar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in Montezuma, GA.

Mrs. Collier was born on November 19, 1931 in Dooly County, GA to the late Julius Peavy and Jessie Mae Smith Peavy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Lee Collier and four brothers, Bryan Peavy, Alvin Peavy, J.B. Peavy and Reuben Peavy.  She was a faithful member of Byromville Baptist Church and the Senior Adult Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Melton (Robert) of Americus, GA, Kay Turner (John) of Oglethorpe, GA and Myra Kirksey (Vernon) of Byromville, GA; one sister, Velma Fowler (Tom) of Rupert, GA; four grandchildren, Brandy Elrod (Shawn), Amanda Pankey (J.J.), Kyle Turner (Kristi Coates), Brett Walls (Susan) and one step grandson, Justin Kirksey, six great grandchildren, Dakota Elrod, Tyler Elrod, Anna Marie Elrod, John Walker Pankey, Bryce Walls, Morgan Walls and one step granddaughter, Brenna Kirksey; three sisters-in-law, Kathleen Peavy, Minnie Peavy and Dottie Peavy; many cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
