AMERICUS – On Friday, April 10, Americus Fire and Emergency Services will hold its 25th annual Benefit Golf Tournament at Griffin Bell Golf Course.
The tournament is a three-man scramble that will be divided into two flights by handicap.
Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Check in, along with a short orientation meeting, will be held at the clubhouse at 12:30 p.m.
The entry fee is $240 per team and includes cart and green fees. Checks can be made payable to Americus Fire and Emergency Services, 119 S. Lee St., Americus, GA 31709. Entries are tax deductible within the items of the tax law.
Entries should be received no later than April 8, 2019. We need players’ names & handicaps by April 6, if possible.
The first place prize is $300. The second place prize is $225 and the third place prize is $150. There is a $100 prize for closest to the pin and a $100 prize for closest to the hole. Prize packages for hole-in-ones will be given on select holes.
Mulligans are $5 each with a maximum of four (one person with two on front nine and two on back nine). Mulligans can be bought at sign up.
Don’t forget to bring along some extra cash so you can participate in our raffle. We have lots of prizes donated by our sponsors, and you don’t want to miss out on a chance to win some of these wonderful items. All proceeds will support the Americus Fire and Emergency Services Community Safety and Fire Prevention Programs right here in Americus.

$50 – Tee Box sign with company name at one of the tee boxes
$100 – Tee Box and Green signs with company name, at a green and at a tee box
$500 – Co-Sponsors – name on banner under Grand Sponsor, to be displayed
in town and at golf tournament, one team entry, tee box and green signs
$1,000 – Grand Sponsors – company name listed at top of banner, to be displayed
in town and at golf tournament, one team entry, tee box and green signs.
