Mr. Samuel W. Colbert, age 27 of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020 in Flomaton, Alabama. Mr. Colbert was born in Brewton, Alabama and had been a resident of Atlanta since 2013. He was also a former resident of Monroeville, Alabama. Mr. Colbert worked with C.F. Real Estate as a property leasing manager. He was confirmed into the Catholic Church in Fayetteville, TN and also attended Eastwood Baptist Church in Monroeville. Sam is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Colbert, Julia Norman, Elgia Petty and two uncles, Mark Edward Lowery and William Norman Lowery.
Survivors include his father, Gordon Colbert and wife Melissa of Fayetteville, TN; his mother, Prentiss Greene and husband David of Albany, GA; his grandparents, Glennie Colbert of Monroeville, and Dan and Mary Frances Jones of Fayetteville, TN; two brothers, Maxwell (Elizabeth) Truesdale of Kelso, TN and Shawn Greene of Leesburg, GA; five sisters, Nichole Colbert (Ryan) Walker of Americus, GA, Meghan Synder of Huntsville, AL; MaryBeth Colbert of Pensacola, FL, Allison (Brad) Miller of Atlanta, GA, and Ashley Greene of Poulan, GA; aunt and uncle, Katy and Frank Henderson; nieces and nephews, Julia, Charlie, Bellamy, Coleman, and Skylar; and his beloved companion, Luna-his Dalmatian.
Graveside services will be Friday, March 27, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Poplar Springs Cemetery with Rev. William Bodiford officiating.
