Number of COVID-19 cases in Sumter County up to 292, along with 14 fatalities

AMERICUS – As of 6:28 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, the Georgia Department of Public Health has updated its statewide statistics on the Coronavirus. Unfortunately for Sumter County, the number of confirmed cases has risen up to 292 and the death toll has risen to 14.

The GDPH also reports that Lee County has 267 confirmed cases with 15 fatalities and Schley County has 14 confirmed cases with one  death. Dougherty County has the second most number of confirmed cases in the state with 1,358 and has most COVID-19-related deaths in the state with 88.
