SGTC Commercial Truck Driving orientation scheduled for July

AMERICUS – South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) will be hosting orientation for its summer and fall semester Commercial Truck Driving Classes the week of Monday, July 6, 2020 on both the Americus and the Crisp County Center campuses. The orientation will be held in accordance with all local and state COVID-19 executive orders and social distancing guidelines.

SGTC Commercial Truck Driving instructor Robert Cook will be on the Americus campus from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Monday, July 6. Prospective students are asked to meet at the Commercial Truck Driving building. Cook will be available again on Wednesday, July 8 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Cook is also scheduled to be on the Crisp County Center campus on Tuesday, July 7 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Students are asked to meet in the auditorium on the Crisp County Center campus.

SGTC is currently taking applications for the fall semester, which begins on Monday, August 17. Students can apply online at www.southgatech.edu. The first on-campus orientation and registration sessions for the over 200 associate degree, diploma, and technical certificate of credit programs are scheduled Tuesday through Thursday, July 21-23 on both the Americus and Crisp County Center campuses.
