William Robert Mears, age sixty-six, died unexpectedly on Monday July 13, 2020 after a short battle with cancer. A talented graphic artist and musician, he went to high school in Americus, Georgia and was self-employed with his wife most of his life in Marietta, Georgia.  He was an active member of Christ Episcopal church Kennesaw and in lieu of flowers, any memorial contributions may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 1210 Wooten Lake Rd NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144, Feeding America (https://www.feedingamerica.org/) or The Carter Center (https://www.cartercenter.org/). He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Anna Palamiotis Mears, daughter Alexis Lane Potter (Gene), one grandchild, Alex, brother Curtis Mears (Bonnie), sisters Beth Cameron (Sid) and Wanda Keeney (Randall), and a number of beloved nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Garland and LaVona Mears.  A celebration of life will be planned at a future date.
