They’ve started the spring garden at the Healthy Sumter Community Garden at Brookdale Park. Currently, there are 72 strawberry plants that fill 2 raised garden beds.

Soon, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, summer squash, and flowers additions will bring the total number of growing raised beds to 24.

Also, collards will be ready for picking by early April.
