11u Uconn Huskies dominate LSU in DHBC play

The 11u Uconn Huskies boys’ basketball team jumped out to a 12-1 lead early in the first half and continued to dominate their way to a 47-26 victory over LSU on Friday in Dwight Harris Boys Club (DHBC) basketball league action at the Ninth Grade Academy.

Braylon Colbert led the Huskies in scoring with 14 points and Zacharih Jackson chipped in 11 points in the winning cause.

The Huskies quickly jumped out to a 12-1 lead to start the game and set the tone for the rest of the contest. From that point until halftime, the LSU Tigers outscored Uconn 13-12, but the Huskies still had a 24-14 halftime lead.

Uconn reasserted its dominance in the second half by going on a 10-3 run and capping it off with a three-pointer by Colbert. From that point on, the Huskies continued to maintain their strangle hold on the game and went on to defeat LSU by the score of 47-26.

Pierre Perkins led the LSU team with nine points and Lamari Adams chipped in eight points in the losing cause.
