From President Johnston on September 25

Good afternoon, Students. Due to the threat of severe weather associated with Hurricane Helene, we will modify campus operations as follows:

Classes: All classes are cancelled for Thursday and Friday.

Residential Students: Please watch for an email with more information about residence life and dining services.

Campus Alerts: We will provide updates, as needed, through our website, social media, email, and the campus alert system. Please make sure you are signed up for GSW’s campus alert system. Instructions can be found at www.gsw.edu/campus-technology/emergency-notification-center.

Just a heads up — as you may have seen through recent weather reports, we expect rain and light winds in the area later today that are unrelated to Hurricane Helene. We encourage everyone to remain informed, be prepared, and most importantly, stay safe. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we navigate this weather event together. Take care!

MICHELLE R. JOHNSTON, PH.D.
President
