After the Election: An editorial

A lot of folks are very tense right now. It’s hard not to care about the future direction of the Country. Civil rights, economics, foreign policy, all these are issues that could go one way or another depending on the ballot. But regardless of which direction the Nation goes, half the Nation will be frustrated and disappointed after election day.
However we feel, we should be willing to reach out with and empathize with those who are deeply invested in the outcome of our Nation, regardless of their views, who find that they voted for the losing side after the election. It’s a lot of neighbors, family, and friends who will be devastated. Regardless of whether your candidate gets in or not, try to reach out to them with genuine empathy and understanding. Christ, who rules over all Earthly kings, would want us to.
One day, this will all be history. Regardless of whether your candidate wins, live for the kingdom that will last, and show kindness to those who are distraught. Who knows. Maybe it will be you.
