The Rho Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, recently elected a new slate of officers for 2025-2026.

The new officers are as follows: President-Dr. Hollie Walters, Vice-President-Ms. Whitney Webb, Treasurer-Dr. Sonia McKenzie, Secretary-Mrs. Telicia Cutts, Financial Secretary-Mrs. Nikki Dydell, Corresponding Secretary-Mrs. Tawanna Bettis, Graduate Advisor-Ms. Tamara Coley, Ivy Leaf® Reporter-Mrs. Daphnie Wright-Miller, Hostess-Mrs. Sennikiu Bass, Chaplain-Ms. Santee Archer and Keeper of the Door, Mrs. Luneda Brown.

This leadership group, also known as the Executive Board of the chapter, is making strategic plans to continue serving the Americus community and beyond. Some accomplishments this year include: collecting and donating food items, recognizing and rewarding women entrepreneurs, planting trees, participating in National Clean Up Day, having a Gala in honor of 60 year “Pearl” Member, Mrs. Lucille G. Harris, participating in the Phoebe Sumter Breast Cancer Walk, and providing scholarships of $1,000 to 8 local students.
