The bid opening for repairs to the sink hole near the intersection of Russell and Forrest Street was held on December 5 at City Hall. Americus Public Works Director George Allen gave an update concerning the bidders. “There were two bids submitted and opened. However, this is considered a capital project and the bid selected must be approved by City Council.”
